Our History

 XYZ Design Plastics started in early 2012 as a 3D printing hobby for automotive parts and that sprouted from our career in the automotive industry where we were prototyping automotive products. Having a background in operating CNC, Injection molding machines and industrial 3D printing prototyping equipment, 3D printing proved to be an extremely rewarding hobby. To further explore our passions for 3D printing, we noticed that the versatility of the printers and materials available allowed for creative and unique creations. It started as helping friends and family with automotive custom products, tools, toys, and other prints. After setting up our first 3D printer filament material manufacturing system in Southern Ontario my family and I chose to relocate to Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This eventually led to us opening a retail location in the fishing capitol of the world, Campbell River, collaborating with designers and beginning to print our first official product line West Coast Wildlife Critters. We found remarkable success at the local resorts gift shops and farmers markets, kids and adults fell in love with the West Coast themed products as soon as they touched them, they were intrigued and wanted to know more. Our focus on Bio-Degradable and Eco-Friendly materials is necessary. That is why we turned to having our products at other retail locations as this would allow us to continue the growth of our business and products while still offering renewable, eco-friendly, and exciting products to consumers. We plan to continue to grow our site and product offerings while creating a community that is engaged and an active part in shaping our business.We want to be on the forefront of the 3D printing industry here on Vancouver Island as it continues to expand and grow.
